What it is
SHINGLE SEALER is a clear gloss waterproofing finish designed to penetrate porous surfaces and preserve, protect, waterproof and beautify them. It also forms a good film over non-porous or previously coated surfaces.
It is a 100 percent acrylic resin coating that dries to a non-yellowing clear gloss and resists mould and mildew. It seals cracks, crevices and pores so water sheets off the surface instead of soaking in, and it carries mildew-resistant chemicals that discourage mould, mildew and algae.

Good for an older roof
It is made for weather-worn roofs. On asphalt, clay and wood shingles it restores strength, appearance and performance rather than replacing them.
It also slows granule loss. Shingles shed their protective granules to wind, rain and UV over the years; the sealer penetrates and bonds those granules in place, which reduces the shedding that leads to a roof ageing out early.
