Foam Roofing

Spray Polyurethane Foam is a two-part material made by combining isocyanate and polyol under heat and pressure. It goes down as a liquid and reacts into a solid, fully-adhered roofing membrane that is lightweight, waterproof and continuous, with the highest R-value of any commercial roofing product.

Unlike traditional materials it bonds directly to your existing roof surface and can follow almost any shape. It is self-flashing, so it fills the cracks and gaps as it goes and leaves a smooth surface with none of the seams or fasteners that let water in.

Restoration renews the roof you already have using elastomeric coatings that are flexible, watertight and reflective. Because it uses less labour and fewer materials, it typically costs 50 to 70 percent less than a full tear-off.

Rather than removing your old roof, we repair and reinforce it. Most commercial roofs last 20 to 25 years; restoration can add another 7 to 15, especially when it is maintained and recoated on schedule. It is also far less disruptive to your day-to-day operations, and it keeps tons of roofing waste out of landfill.

Foam roofs are low maintenance but they are not no-maintenance. We recommend inspections twice a year, in spring and fall, and after severe weather or any rooftop service visit. Minor damage can be repaired with mastic or sealant; severe UV damage or saturation means cutting out and reapplying foam.

Recoating every 10 to 15 years with the original chemistry extends the system to 30 years or more. Maintained properly, a foam roof can be the only one the building needs.
